Professional Development Workshop
The "Anxious & Reluctant Learners" workshop is designed for teachers, teacher aides, SENCO, RTLB and/or senior management. It will cover all levels from Primary through to High School.
Anxiety often presents behaviourally and can be overlooked in the school setting or viewed as 'naughty' or 'non-compliant' behaviour. Alternatively students can present as withdrawn, disinterested in learning and/or difficult to engage. Anxiety can have a huge impact on a student's learning. It can also impact on other students and teachers and have an effect on the whole classroom environment. Once we gain an understanding of what anxiety looks like and how to manage anxiety effectively, we can often avoid behaviour escalating to extremes, engage the student & improve the quality of their learning. It can also contribute to a more positive learning environment. Overview of workshop;
